Xenical (Orlistat) is a medication that inhibits the action of digestive enzymes (lipase), causing about 30% of dietary fat to be unabsorbed and excreted in the feces.

By naturally reducing fat intake, it supports weight management.

Main effects:

・Inhibits the absorption of dietary fat

Take one capsule three times a day, immediately before, during, or within one hour after a meal containing fat.

Do not take with meals that do not contain fat.

Main side effects

These are effects of fat excretion and are more likely to occur with fattier meals.

Rare cases of severe liver dysfunction have been reported. If you experience symptoms such as severe abdominal pain or jaundice, stop taking the medication and consult a medical institution.

・Since the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) will be reduced, please take any supplements at least 2 hours after taking Xenical.
・Please try to maintain a balanced diet.
・Please ensure adequate hydration.
・Do not take if pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking other medications, please consult with your doctor during your appointment.

The following individuals should not take this medicine:

・Those with a history of hypersensitivity (allergy) to this medicine
・Those with chronic malabsorption syndrome
・Those with cholestasis
・Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
