What is Rejuran?
Rejuran is a skin regeneration injection primarily composed of polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon. PN is a short fragmented component of DNA, and due to its high compatibility with human genetic structure, it is believed to aid in cell repair and regeneration when injected into the skin.
This treatment is not about adding volume like hyaluronic acid, but rather focuses on restoring the skin's overall condition. Developed in Korea, it is widely performed as an injection treatment aimed at improving skin quality.

Mechanism of action of Rejuran
Skin regeneration by Polynucleotides (PN)
Injected PN acts on skin fibroblasts, promoting the production of collagen and elastin. At the same time, it is reported to help repair damaged tissues and suppress inflammation. A characteristic of Rejuran is that it not only "increases" but also "regulates and calms."
High moisturizing power
PN has the property of retaining several times its own weight in water, maintaining moisture levels in the injected area. This action helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines caused by dryness.

Regarding "plumpness" immediately after treatment. Rejuran is characterized by small bumps remaining at the injection site. This type is for those who want to improve their overall skin quality across the entire face. Because it contains hyaluronic acid, the discomfort during injection is relatively mild, and it is characterized by providing a feeling of hydration immediately after treatment. It is suitable for those with recurring dryness and skin irritation, or those concerned about uneven texture and pores.

Rejuran i (Eye Area)
The skin around the eyes is very thin, and conventional preparations can easily cause bumps or lumps. Type "i" is designed specifically for this area, addressing fine lines, lack of firmness, and dryness around the eyes.
Since the eye area can be sensitive to pain, anesthetic cream is available. Please do not hesitate to ask if you are concerned about pain.

Who cannot undergo treatment / Who needs caution
- Those with allergies to salmon or other seafood (Rejuran's main ingredient is salmon-derived. Please be sure to inform us).
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
- Those with infection, inflammation, or severe acne in the treatment area.
- Those with autoimmune diseases or keloid diathesis.
- Those taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) (consultation required).
- Those undergoing treatment that suppresses immunity.
- Those whose diabetes is not well-controlled.
- Those with allergies to the ingredients of the preparation.
Pre- and Post-Treatment Precautions
Before Treatment
- Please remove makeup from the treatment area before your visit.
- Limit alcohol consumption the day before (it can increase bruising).
- Please postpone your appointment if you are not feeling well.
- Avoid scheduling immediately before important events (swelling or bruising may occur).
After Treatment
- Do not press or rub the injection site vigorously on the day of treatment.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol on the day of treatment.
- Only shower (on the day of treatment to the next day).
- Makeup is possible from the day of treatment.
- Avoid peeling or laser treatments for 2 weeks.
- Use sunscreen to protect against UV rays.
Combination with other treatments
- Juvelook: An injection treatment specializing in improving pores and firmness. Used alternately or in combination depending on concerns.
- Botulinum toxin injections: Addresses expression wrinkles. Rejuran focuses on skin quality, while Botox targets dynamic wrinkles, so their roles differ.
- Peeling: A treatment to refine the skin's surface. Performed about 2 weeks after Rejuran.
- High-dose Vitamin C IV drip・Glutathione IV drip: Internal antioxidant care.
Notes on Unapproved Pharmaceuticals, etc.
- Unapproved pharmaceutical: The Rejuran used at our clinic is an unapproved pharmaceutical in Japan.
- Procurement route: The physician imports it through personal import procedures (obtaining a Yakkan Shoumei from the local Kosei-Kyoku).
- Availability of approved pharmaceuticals in Japan: There are no domestically approved pharmaceuticals with the same ingredients or for the same purpose.
- Information on safety, etc., in other countries: This preparation was developed and is used in Korea. It has not received approval from the US FDA or similar for skin quality improvement purposes. Swelling, redness, bruising, and lumps at the injection site have been reported.
- Health damage relief system: Health damage resulting from the use of unapproved pharmaceuticals is not covered by the Pharmaceutical Side Effect Relief System.
- Costs and effects: As it is a private medical service, health insurance does not apply, and the full cost is borne by the patient. The extent of the effect varies among individuals.
