Main side effects

・Diarrhea・Loose stools・Nausea・Abdominal pain・Loss of appetite

These may occur at the start of treatment, but can improve with continued use.

Rarely, a serious side effect called lactic acidosis may occur. If you experience symptoms such as severe fatigue, shortness of breath, muscle pain, or impaired consciousness, discontinue the medication and seek immediate medical attention.

・Always take after meals.
・Ensure adequate fluid intake.
・Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis.
・If you experience dehydration due to fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, stop taking the medication and consult your doctor.
・Regular kidney function tests are recommended.

The following individuals should not take this medication:

・Those with severe renal impairment
・Those with severe hepatic impairment
・Those with severe heart failure or respiratory failure
・Those who are dehydrated
・Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
・Those with a history of hypersensitivity to any ingredient in this medication
・Those for whom a doctor has deemed the medication inappropriate
