In-person Vaccinations
Mona Aoyama Clinic offers various vaccines, including those for influenza and shingles, as well as travel vaccines before international trips, through in-person vaccination (self-pay/private medical care).
Since vaccine availability varies by type, we recommend making a reservation in advance. Please confirm the vaccine you wish to receive and then make your reservation.

Travel Vaccines (Pre-travel Vaccines)
Before overseas assignments, studying abroad, or long-term travel, vaccination may be recommended depending on the infection risks at your destination. Mona Aoyama Clinic handles various travel vaccines through in-person vaccination (private medical care). Please confirm your destination and length of stay, and then reserve the desired vaccine.

*About Yellow Fever Vaccine
The yellow fever vaccine can only be administered at designated institutions such as quarantine stations in Japan, not at general medical facilities. Depending on the destination, a vaccination certificate (yellow card) may be required for entry.
Our clinic does not administer the yellow fever vaccine. If vaccination is necessary, please contact a designated institution such as a quarantine station.
Estimated Pre-travel Schedule
- Since some vaccines (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies, etc.) require multiple doses, it is ideal to consult with us 2-3 months before departure.
- Even if your departure is approaching, we will create a vaccination plan with priorities as much as possible, so please do not give up and consult with us.
Vaccination Process
- Web Reservation (advance reservation recommended for stock assurance)
- Medical Interview - checking medical history, allergies, medications, possibility of pregnancy, and travel plans
- Doctor's Consultation and Vaccination
- 15-30 minutes of observation in the clinic after vaccination - for any potential allergic reactions
- Issuance of certificate (Japanese/English, if necessary)
Post-Vaccination Precautions and Side Effects
- On the day of vaccination, please refrain from strenuous exercise and excessive alcohol consumption (showering and bathing are permitted).
- Redness, swelling, pain at the injection site, and mild fever usually subside within 1-2 days.
- If severe symptoms such as high fever, difficulty breathing, or widespread hives occur, seek medical attention immediately.
Those Who Cannot Be Vaccinated or Require Caution
- Those with fever or acute illness (please discuss postponement).
- Those with a history of severe allergies to vaccine components.
- Pregnant individuals - live vaccines (MR, chickenpox, mumps, etc.) cannot be administered. Please discuss inactivated vaccines individually.
- Those undergoing immunosuppressive treatment - live vaccines cannot be administered.
All vaccines, including pre-travel vaccines, are administered in-person. To ensure stock, please make a reservation first.
