This is an inactivated vaccine that prevents the onset, severity, and postherpetic neuralgia of shingles caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus. It is particularly recommended for people aged 50 and older.

Indications

The vaccine has been reported to have an efficacy of over 90% in preventing herpes zoster and a high efficacy in preventing postherpetic neuralgia. Its effects are said to last for a long time after vaccination.

Directions and Dosage

The entire process, from consultation to vaccination and post-vaccination observation, usually takes about 15–30 minutes.Two doses (typically administered 2–6 months apart) / Eligibility: Individuals aged 50 and over, or individuals aged 18 and over with compromised immune systems.
