Bilaxten Tablets 20mg (generic name: bilastine)
A second-generation antihistamine. It selectively inhibits histamine H1 receptors and suppresses wheals and itching associated with urticaria. It has low central nervous system penetration, which means fewer central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness. Since it is easily affected by food, it is recommended to take it on an empty stomach (avoiding 1 hour before meals to 2 hours after meals).

A second-generation antihistamine. In addition to histamine H1 receptor antagonistic action, it also has a chemical mediator release inhibitory action, suppressing wheals and itching in urticaria. It has a relatively fast onset of action and is widely used for chronic urticaria. It is not easily affected by food, and is generally taken in the morning and evening.
Indications: Urticaria, itching associated with skin diseases (eczema/dermatitis, pruritus), allergic rhinitis

• Twice daily after breakfast and dinner

• Main side effects: Drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, fatigue
• Serious side effects: Shock, anaphylaxis (frequency unknown)
• Among second-generation antihistamines, it has low central nervous system penetration, and the frequency of drowsiness is considered relatively low.

Allelock Tablets 2.5mg/5mg (olopatadine hydrochloride)

• Main side effects: Drowsiness (relatively high frequency), dry mouth, fatigue, nausea, headache
• Serious side effects: Shock, anaphylactic-like symptoms, liver dysfunction/jaundice, thrombocytopenia (all frequencies unknown)
• The package insert states that patients should be cautioned against operating machinery that may be dangerous, such as driving a car, due to drowsiness.

Restamin Kowa Cream 1% (diphenhydramine)

• Main side effects: Redness, itching, rash, irritation at the application site
• Serious side effects: Systemic side effects (e.g., drowsiness) due to absorption during long-term and widespread use.
• May cause contact dermatitis; discontinue use if symptoms worsen.

Bilanoa Tablets 20mg (bilastine)

• Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any ingredient of this drug
• (While not contraindicated in patients with renal impairment or elderly patients, as they are listed under "cautious administration," dose adjustments and other precautions are necessary.)

Allegra Tablets 2.5mg/5mg (olopatadine hydrochloride)

• Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any ingredient of this drug
• According to the package insert, the only clear contraindication is "history of hypersensitivity." Note that safety has not been established in low birth weight infants, neonates, and infants, so administration to these populations should be avoided.

Restamin Kowa Cream 1% (diphenhydramine)

• Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any ingredient of this drug
• Caution is advised when using this product extensively or for prolonged periods on affected areas with wetness, erosion, fissures, etc., as increased absorption may lead to systemic side effects (such as drowsiness).
• Although not contraindicated for use in the ophthalmic area (e.g., conjunctiva), the package insert states that it should be avoided in these areas.
