DoxyPEP One serving

商品概要

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is an HIV prevention medication taken after potential exposure to HIV, such as unprotected sex or needle stick injuries.

It has been reported that taking PEP within 72 hours (preferably within 24 hours) of exposure and continuing daily for 28 days can significantly reduce the risk of HIV infection. The preventive effect decreases as time passes, so it is important to start treatment as soon as possible.

In addition to HIV prevention, our clinic offers a plan that includes **DoxyPEP (syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea prevention)**.

For those who continue to be at risk of HIV infection after completing PEP, you can also choose a plan to switch to PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and continue after one month from the purchase.

Recommended for:

・Those who had sex without a condom

・Those whose condom broke or slipped off

・Those whose partner's HIV status is unknown

・Those concerned about the risk of HIV infection

The sooner PEP is started, the greater the expected preventive effect. If you are concerned about HIV infection, please consult us as soon as possible.

Our clinic requires advance payment. Please proceed with the purchase for your desired plan first.

Effects and benefits

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a treatment that prevents HIV infection by taking medication after potential exposure to HIV, such as through sexual activity or needle-stick injuries.

It should be started within 72 hours (and ideally within 24 hours) of exposure and continued for 28 days.

How to take

Begin taking the medication within 72 hours of HIV exposure (preferably within 24 hours) from high-risk activities such as sexual intercourse.

Take once daily for 28 consecutive days as directed by your doctor.

It is important to complete the entire 28-day course of medication, as missing doses or stopping treatment prematurely without medical advice may reduce its preventive effect.

Regarding fees

The prices shown include consultation fees and medication costs.

If you choose the PrEP transition plan, you can smoothly switch to PrEP even after completing PEP.

FAQs

When should PEP be started?

Start within 72 hours of potential HIV exposure, such as sexual intercourse. We recommend starting within 24 hours if possible.

Can PEP and DoxyPEP be taken together?

同日に服用可能ですが、吐き気などの副作用を軽減するため、PEP服用から約2時間あけてドキシPEPを服用することをおすすめしています。

What is a PrEP Transition Plan?

The PrEP Transition Plan is for those who wish to continue HIV prevention after completing 28 days of PEP.
If you select this plan,PrEP (Daily or On-Demand) will be automatically switched to and delivered starting approximately one month after your PEP purchase date. This means you won't need to place another order after finishing PEP, allowing you to continue HIV prevention without interruption.

Does taking PEP prevent 100% of infections?

PEP is a treatment that can significantly reduce the risk of HIV infection, but it doesn't prevent infection 100%. It's crucial to start taking it as soon as possible after exposure (ideally within 24 hours, and no later than 72 hours) and to complete the full 28-day course.
