How effective is doxyPEP?

It is said that if taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse and administered correctly, the prevention rate is over 99%.

Are there any side effects of Doxy-PEP?

Gastrointestinal symptoms, photosensitivity (those with fair skin or living in sunny climates are advised to use sunscreen), allergic reactions/rashes, antibodies from short-term antibiotic use, and very rarely, headaches or vision changes (changes in hearing or vision are not side effects but may be symptoms of syphilis, so if you experience such symptoms, seek immediate medical attention).

Is there drug resistance to Doxy-PEP?

There is no concerning data to suggest that the use of Doxy-PEP increases drug resistance in patients who were followed by researchers for approximately one year.

Does Doxy-PEP prevent anything other than HIV?

It does not prevent syphilis, gonorrhea, or chlamydia. For HIV prevention, please use PEP/PrEP.

Does DoxiPEP work for women?
