What is PEP?

PEP is a method to prevent HIV infection after exposure. Take one tablet once a day at the same time every day for 28 days. We recommend getting tested one month, three months, and six months after starting medication. After 28 days, you can start PrEP for HIV prevention.

How effective is PEP?

It is said that if taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse and administered properly, the prevention rate is over 99%.

Are there any side effects of PEP?

Headaches, nausea, and abdominal bloating may occur (around 2%). These are usually mild and disappear within about a month. However, if the side effects are severe or concerning, please consult a doctor. If you experience fever, fatigue, or flu-like symptoms (influenza-like symptoms), this may not be a side effect but rather a sign of recent HIV infection, so please consult a doctor promptly.

Are tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, etc. included?
